About Us
The WCAWA is proud to be in its 14th year. This organization was founded for the purpose of allowing industries, insurance companies, attorneys, and medical organizations to meet and discuss frequent problems and issues that occur within the workers’ compensation setting.
This organization has significantly grown over the years with a solid membership, annual Industrial Tour, a 5K Rabbit Run to benefit Kid’s Chance, and an ever growing Educational Seminar.
The WCAWA meets every 4th Tuesday, September through May at Indian Hills Country Club in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at 11:30 a.m. The meeting includes an excellent buffet lunch followed with a speaker chosen by the organization on topics suggested by you. CEUs are offered monthly for nurses.
Our officers for the 2010-2011 year include: Felicia Gross, JVC, President ; Felicia Ellison, DCH Employee Health, Vice President; Shonda Courtland, Uniroyal Goodrich, Secretary; and John Stumpff, Phifer Wire Products, Treasurer.
